May 16 Tyler + Rachel | West End Church of Christ + The Parthenon - Spring Wedding | Nashville wedding photographer

Tyler and Rachel got engaged in December 2020 and couldn’t wait to start their life together, so they planned their wedding in only 4 months, and tied the knot on April 10th. Theirs was the first traditional wedding I photographed during the pandemic; after a year in which most couples opted to postpone, elope, or celebrate micro-weddings, and it felt so good to be able to do it fully vaccinated!

Rachel did the planning herself with lots of help from family and friends. Purple and lavender tones highlighted the details of their spring wedding. They became husband and wife under a chuppah, luckily installed indoors, since the day was full of spring showers. Rachel was excited about seeing Tyler’s face when walking down the aisle in her dress, so they chose not to see each other before the ceremony. But we escaped to the nearby Centennial Park to grab some portraits of the couple afterwards. Tyler and Rachel were able to celebrate their wedding day with some of their close friends and family, and I was so happy to document it for them with my photography.

It is obvious how much Tyler and Rachel adore each other by the way they look at each other, and write about what they love about the other.

“What I really love about Tyler is that he can make me laugh and he’s really good at cheering me up and being there for me. The first thing I noticed about him was his shining smile and sparkling green eyes. I could tell by his kind face that he was very caring and genuine. I felt I could be myself with him and that’s what attracted me to him in the first place, well actually I take that back, I saw him from afar and thought he was cute!”
“Rachel is absolutely the sweetest heart that has ever walked the earth. You can tell by her smile. It is ear to ear perfectly in line and she tilts her head just a little bit sometimes. And if she blushes a little bit when she smiles, her blushing is perfectly lain on the tips of her cheeks. Whenever that smile is pointed at me I know for a fact that I’m the luckiest guy in the world.”
