A unique rainbow-colored + bunnies Covid Backyard Wedding in Franklin, TN

Shayna loves the rainbow; her home has rainbow-colored rugs and other items around the house that sport that happy vibe. Her wedding to Marco was full of colorful details. Some were Shayna's DIY creations, like her amazing faux flower bouquet and the ring box that Suzy and Wally (the couple’s bunnies) “walked down the aisle." She also had a flower applique veil that added a unique layer of color to her gorgeous off-the-shoulder lace sheath gown. Marco's attire was a blueish/black blazer, with black tie, black pants, and light tan shoes.

After planning a Nashville blowout for a year and a half, Marco and Shayna had to reinvent how they tied the knot due to the pandemic. They went ahead and got married on their original date at Marco’s parents back yard in Franklin, TN with only a handful of close friends and family as witnesses, while leaving the epic party for next year. What was most important to them was to get married, and since they still have a party to plan, they did a lot themselves for this intimate wedding. Shayna did her own hair and makeup, got the flowers and decor from Amazon, and between the two of them made a play list. They rented a small tent and a few chairs and tables for the handful of guests. Their wedding celebration turned out beautiful.

This is their story in their own words, that they had on their wedding site:

"Both Marco and Shayna went to Auburn High School in Auburn, Massachusetts. Marco was a grade higher than Shayna even though they are only 2 months apart in age.
Actually, Shayna admired Marco from afar in the 7th grade because Marco wore a Super Mario 1UP t-shirt. She loves Super Mario.
It wasn’t until the summer of 2007 where Shayna and Marco were officially introduced by Mike Croteau (Marco’s best man) who was a mutual friend. That summer Marco and Shayna spent every single day together but never actually dated. After the summer ended, they remained friends thereafter.
They spent their early 20’s with their gang of friends, all the while liking each other but never telling each other.
Fall of 2013 is when they began to spend more time together one-on-one. They were each other’s’ New Year’s kiss. Then, Shayna got a job in Spain for the spring of 2014. At this time Marco moved to Nashville.
When Shayna returned to Auburn in the summer of 2014, Marco started making frequent trips to Massachusetts which, of course, didn’t have anything to do with Shayna’s return ;-) .
Marco threw a party in Boston for Shayna’s 24th birthday in October 2014. They spent the holidays together still not yet official.
In January 2015, Shayna made her first trip to Nashville where she first fell in love with the Batman Building in downtown Nashville.
They spent the spring visiting each other.
On June 22, 2015, on vacation in California on Manhattan Beach, they FINALLY made it official and decided to be girlfriend and boyfriend. When Shayna visited the first week in August 2015, they took a walk on the pedestrian bridge downtown. This is where they said "I love you" for the first time. Their feelings were revealed on the bridge right next to the wedding venue, The Bridge Building.
Through the next two years they were long-distance, traveling back and forth monthly. Together they made the decision that Shayna would move to Nashville. So, on June 22nd, 2017, they moved in together in a home in East Nashville.
Shayna’s favorite holiday is Christmas, so on December 20th, 2018, Marco put together a scavenger hunt, leaving love notes with poems and clues all around their house. She found him in the living room on one knee. He proposed to her!!!! She said yes, and the rest is history!
Their love has been there since they were 16 years old; they are best friends, and they are soul mates.
They look forward to celebrating their love for each other and their love for you all at their wedding on September 5th, 2020 in the beautiful, unforgettable, one-of-a-kind city of Nashville, TN."
