5 REASONS WHY YOU SHOULD CONSIDER AN ELOPEMENT OR A MICRO WEDDING
Are you recently engaged, questioning what are the advantages of an elopement or micro-wedding vs a traditional big wedding?
Small, intimate weddings are a trend that I hope will continue forever, even when COVID is history and we are safe to dance and party with a big number of guests.
Here are 5 of the reasons why you should consider an elopement or a micro wedding:
You can't wait to be married. LOVE CAN'T WAIT.
So much EASIER TO PLAN than a big wedding. If you just want someone to pronounce you husband & wife, wife & wife or husband & husband, elope! You'll need an officiant to get it done, and a photographer to capture it all. Your venue could be as fancy or simple as you may like, a park or your living room will do. Most don't even need reservation and I can help with location suggestions.
If you want to share your big day with a few guests, have a micro-wedding; you'll get the spirit of an elopement but with a few people around you. You'll have MORE TIME TO actually VISIT with and connect WITH EACH GUEST, experiencing the day in a way that is not possible with hundreds of human beings.
CREATE ROOM IN THE BUDGET. With an intimate wedding, you suddenly have more options. You can splurge on the best menu options, a more comprehensive photography coverage, add albums or prints to your package, for instance. You can have a weekend full of activities for your guests instead of just one day. Wedding planners can help you stretch your budget even further, because they are THE experts on bringing a vision to reality. If done right, intimate weddings could be as charming as big affairs. I highly recommend hiring a planner to execute a one of a kind experience. Ask me if you need a referral.
Less is more. As a photographer, I love intimate weddings because I have more CREATIVE FLEXIBILITY, with a better use of time for the couple's portraits and less pressure to have long list of formal pictures. I can move easily without obstructing anyone's view during the ceremony and I can better capture the authentic moments of bliss.
“It was the middle of the pandemic and we had a small ceremony in my in-laws backyard. Darien came and captured the most wonderful, intimate moments that I will cherish forever.
I loved that she sent me a shot list before the ceremony and was actively communicating with me to ensure she provided us optimal service and product. She is also very flexible if anything were to change and adapts to any situation at hand. She was very comforting and knew how to direct a rowdy party.
In three words, my experience with Darien was RELAXING, EFFORTLESS and FUN.”
