Meet Darien
Darien (she/her) is based in Nashville, TN. Bilingual in Spanish<>English. Born and raised in Mexico City. She graduated with a degree in journalism with emphasis on film from UNAM. Later continuing her photography education in NYC, at NYU, School of Visual Arts and the International Center of Photography.
Inspired by classic beauty, effortless elegance, art, people of different cultures, architecture, and travel. Her photography style is classic, refined, and natural, with an editorial twist.

With over 20 years of experience photographing people and their celebrations, I’ve had the opportunity to work with a wide range of clients—from intimate gatherings and anniversaries to corporate events and nonprofit galas.
My approach goes beyond simply documenting what happened. I create images that elevate the guest experience while allowing hosts to be fully present, knowing they can trust someone who is paying attention to both the obvious and the easily overlooked. Not just the decor or expected portraits, but the atmosphere, the interactions, and the details that make an event feel like your event.
I’m drawn to finding beauty in the ordinary: a thoughtful gesture, a meaningful exchange, the way light falls on a table before guests arrive, or the energy of a room once everyone is fully engaged. Those are often the moments that tell the most complete story.
My work blends photojournalistic storytelling with an editorial eye. I know when to step back and quietly observe for genuine candids, and when to offer gentle direction for polished portraits when needed.

Up to 2 hours of event coverage
Additional coverage may be added at $385 per hour, up to 10 hours of coverage per day. Multi-day coverage is available for conferences, retreats and destination events.
Online gallery delivery
Professionally edited images delivered in a private online gallery within 10-14 days, with select highlights available within 48 hours for social media and immediate sharing.
Digital files included
Complimentary web-size files available for guests to download and share online (Web-Size files are optimized for social media and websites and are not intended for large-format printing.)
Print shop access
Prints, gifts, and additional products are available directly through the gallery shop. Guest or family members who wish to print elsewhere may also purchase high-resolution files. A 20% gallery shop discount is available during the first 2 weeks after delivery.
Please note:
Final pricing may vary depending on event details such as location, guest count, event complexity, and whether additional photographers or content creation are needed. While I am comfortable photographing large events independently, some productions benefit from a second or third photographer for fuller coverage and faster image turnaround.
A note on weddings:
These rates apply to corporate events, nonprofit functions, brand activations, anniversaries, vow renewals, and social gatherings. Traditional wedding photography is quoted separately due to the unique planning, timeline management, and scope involved.
