High School Senior Pictures in Franklin TN, by Darien Photography
“Be your own kind of beautiful" just like Caitlin in these pictures.
She is a high school senior this year. When her mom asked me if I could take her portraits to celebrate this important milestone, we had no idea that these photos were going to take place during COVID19 social distancing and self-quarantine times! With school interrupted and no prom this year, these photos were a great distraction and something fun to look forward to for Caitlin during these weird days we are living in.
Cherry trees bloomed early in Nashville this year, a couple of weeks before her scheduled session, so I thought that we could go ahead and meet for a few shoots before the blooms faded. We were still planning for Downtown Franklin or Radnor lake as locations for her next photos, but we ended up having her actual photo session at her home’s backyard. We kept our social distance and made the best out of what we had. We finished with a few fun quarantine pics with her sister and mom. It turned out great; she was comfortable; she was able to change dresses a few times and have fun while “staying at home.”
I like how Caitlin describes HERSELF: "I work extremely hard to get where I want to be and I think I’m pretty warm and inclusive towards others.” HER STYLE: "I think my style is pretty relaxed and casual or just warm and comfy. I don’t really like things too fancy or too dressed up because it makes me feel fake, but sometimes I love it because it makes me feel good about myself." AND HER IDEA OF A PERFECT PHOTO SESSION: "Probably one where I get a lot of good photos and it’s beautiful and sunny and warm outside and I look happy."
I had so much fun taking these photos and I can say that we accomplished some great images that captured not only Caitlin’s natural beauty, but her inner one, as well as her idea of the perfect photo session. So I am more than happy.
I have hundreds of images to go through, but I couldn’t wait to blog these few favorites now.
Best of luck in college, Caitlin! You are going to do amazing!
