Allison and Saxon got engaged during a romantic walk at Percy Warner Park, on a recent weekend when they came to Nashville to visit their families. They are juniors at UTK, where they are studying Journalism and Electronic Media (Allison) and Accounting/Statistics (Saxon).
They used to ride the school bus to Gower Elementary together every day, and now they are planning to spend the rest of their days together!
He hid a small metal box with a message inside: “Would you marry me?” that she found while searching with a metal detector. He then gave her the ring he had on a beautiful velvety green box with one knee on the ground. You know the drill. And their happily-ever-after began, just like that!
I am so thrilled to be able to document for them the first chapter of their lives as adults together. What began as a kid friendship is now growing into the greatest adventure of a lifetime. May your married life be full of excitement, joy, respect and daily commitment to each other.
